January 16 to 23, 2027 · Puertacita, Lake Atitlán, Guatemala Eight days on the shores of Lake Atitlán, walking the land where this medicine comes from, in ceremony with grandfather fire, sacred cacao and Mayan Spiritual Guides who have carried these traditions for generations. This is not a tour of sacred places. It is time spent inside them, guided by the people whose lineage they belong to. We open on Waxjaqi Kawoq and close on Kae Keme, moving from Kawoq, the energy of the abuelas, the healers and of deep, cleansing clearing and rebirth, to Keme, the energy of death, rebirth and transformation, our connection to our ancestors and to the spirit realms, guiding and holding us in this journey. We stay at Puertacita, a place built into the hillside above the water, geo-gridded and powerfully aligned with the rhythms of the earth. You wake to bird song and volcanoes, and the land itself is part of what does the work here. The week holds two Mayan Fire Ceremonies, sacred site visits, temazcal, a plant limpia, sound healing, an altar creation workshop, a day at the cacao farm in ceremony with a Mayan Aq’ijb’, meeting the women’s cacao collective and a full day of rest at Santé Natural Spa. Mornings open in prayer and pranayama with cacao, nights close in stillness, and nourishing organic meals carry us through. There is nowhere to rush to and nothing being asked of you except to be here, and allow yourself to be held by the magic and power of these lands, of ancient wisdom and by healing hands as you come home to the sanctuary of your own heart.
